  Our company rented several units from Superior and we have been a good customer. I called Clayton at Superior to ask about doing a 6 month rental to avoid having to pay rental tax. I told him that I had signed the same contracts with other vendors. We advised that we were aware that we would be responsible for back taxes if the units were turned in early, just like the other vendors. I received the contract and signed it. We did turn these units in early and were expecting to pay the back tax, but when we received that invoice we also had another $1835.34 in "Early Termination Penalty". On the contract I signed there is no mention of this "Early Termination Penalty". Superior acknowledged that it is not on the paperwork that I signed, but they said that it is outlined on the driver's inspection sheet when he picks up the unit. We have now been turned into collections over this. We believe that it is morally wrong to charge anyone something that they were unaware of. Not only was I never informed of this charge in writing or verbally, when I went to turn the units in early I contacted Clayton prior to doing so and he did not say anything about it at that time. Superior is more than welcome to advise if any information I wrote is incorrect.
